Gargoyle Geckos have similar care requirements to Crested Geckos in that they do not require any special lighting, thrive in room temperatures, and can be fed an insect-free diet. Unlike Crested Geckos, Gargoyle Geckos can benefit from a basking spot of about 85 degrees but they must be able to access cooler areas of their enclosure.
They are also nocturnal so tend to be most active at night so don't be surprised if they spend most of the daylight hours hiding and sleeping. Their enclosure should contain several places for them to hide and climb which can be created using a combination of fake or live plants, cork bark, and even large pipe fitters.
With proper, consistent handling Gargoyle Geckos can become docile and less jumpy than other similar species. These geckos can be aggressive towards one another though so it is recommended to house them individually as adults.
