The creation of Everything Reptile was spurred on by the creators’ mutual love of reptiles as well as their passion and drive to help these animals and the people who care for them.
With that in mind, we want to announce our efforts to help Samantha and her bearded dragon Charlotte. Sam rescued Charlotte (originally Hawke as her previous owners thought she was a male) from someone who had gotten Charlotte years earlier for her child but their interest faded quickly and Charlotte did not get the care she needed. When Sam originally picked her up, she noticed that Charlotte was very small for her age, dehydrated, irritation in one of her eyes and showing signs of MBD. Sam quickly got to work getting Charlotte into a better shape and showing her that some humans do in fact care.

In December 2012, Sam noticed that Charlotte’s eye had gotten worse but due to a prolonged period of unemployment could not get Charlotte to an approved vet and despite a round of Baytril the eye did not improve and she recently learned the eye might need to be removed. While we know many are experiencing tough times financially right now we hope that those who can help will via the Chip-In widget below so that Charlotte can get the help she needs as Sam, and Everything Reptile, know that Charlotte needs this assistance.
